OMFG! I don't believe I actually have an encounter!!! Here goes...

So I get into the city and after a few minutes I find the theatre (Chicago) and the side stage door that the actors come out of. There are a few people just standing there so I decide to take a look. Turns out that I had just missed him. Darn! So I went to get something to eat and kill time since I was an hour early. Around 6:35 I go back to the theatre and find my seat. Turns out a bunch of us in my section had come there alone. One woman's husband and son were in a sports bar down the street while she was at the show. Her husband felt guitly so he brought her a last minute ticket. Cute.

Anyhow, the show was great. It was almost 1/2 hour before kev came out and he did some singing and dancing...yes dancing. And he was good. NO really, he was really good! He did this one move that made me wanna pass out. He pulled off Billy Flynn flawlessly and looked very relaxed!

So now to the good part. After the show I went outside to the stage door. There were a few people there but I was able to get right up against the barracade. It was cold but not too cold. We waited for a while and I talked to a few fans and we decided that kev's probably watching the super bowl. We waited some more and that door must have opened a hundred times until...HE FINALLY CAME OUT! AND HE CAME STRAIGHT OVER TO ME!!! I had rehearsed what I wanted to say to him while I was waiting so here goes...

Trish: Kevin! Hi. How are you?
Kev: Fine. (this is where he shook my hand)
Trish: Aww...can I have a hug please?
We hug and now's a good time to mention that the man smells DAMN GOOD!!!
Trish: Kevin, I wanted to give you something...(I gave him a thank you) Some of your fans wanted to find a way to thank you guys for all the things you have done for us so we decided on these cards. There's too much to list so we hope the card encompasses everything.
Kev: Thank you.
Trish: Your welcome...can I have another hug? (He hugs me again...smells so good!!!)

So now I move back so others can go and I turn into a photographer, taking pics of him while he's signing other people's stuff. I finally decide that he's in a good mood so I'm gonna ask if he can sign my playbill. I waited til everyone else had spoken to him and then asked...
Trish: Kevin, I forgot to ask you to sign this for me. I'm sorry. (he signs and while he's signing I say)
Trish: So tell the truth, you were watching the superbowl weren't you? (with a sly smile.)
Kev: Actually I was packing up my stuff cause we move into the new theatre soon and the games already decided anyway... (he then got distracted and began talking to someone else.)

I backed away getting ready to leave thinking he was done. He turned back to me with steady eye contact and finished telling me that they were moving to the Ambassador theatre tomorrow...HE DELIBERATLY FINISHED TALKING TO ME! Guys I know don't even do this for me!! He said something else about the game but I don't remember.

Anyhow, after that I said thank you and that he did a wonderful job and I was proud of him. He said good night to everyone and I left. It wasn't till then that I realized that I could no longer feel my fingers and toes...but hell, who needs 'em! I just spoke to Kevin!!!
